Connects a Nikon 35mm camera to 1.25" telescope eyepiece holders for astrophotography
This kit connects a Nikon 35mm camera to iOptron telescopes or spotting scopes for astrophotography. It includes a 1.25" T-Adapter and a matching T-Ring for a complete mechanical link. The components drop directly into standard telescope eyepiece holders without additional tools. It is intended for photographers who want to capture celestial objects through a telescope.
The adaptor kit contains no electronics, motors or cooling systems, so it generates no heat and produces no noise. Power draw is zero because the connection is purely mechanical and relies on the camera's own shutter mechanism. There are no fans, pumps or active components to maintain or power. Operation is silent and thermally neutral during long exposure sessions.
The T-Adapter and T-Ring are built from durable metal to maintain rigid alignment under the weight of a camera body. The 1.25" barrel fits standard eyepiece holders found on many telescopes and spotting scopes. The Nikon-specific T-Ring bayonet locks securely to the camera mount, preventing rotation or shift during tracking. This kit does not serve cameras with other lens mounts or larger format sensors.

Insert the 1.25" T-Adapter barrel directly into the telescope's eyepiece holder and secure it with the holder's thumbscrew or locking ring; the step people miss is forgetting to tighten that thumbscrew, which lets the adapter shift during long exposures.
The T-Ring is a passive metal mount with no moving parts or electronics, so it requires no scheduled maintenance; only replace it if the Nikon bayonet tabs or the T-thread become visibly worn or cross-threaded.
The 1.25" barrel aperture restricts the illuminated field to roughly the central 35 mm frame area, so vignetting at the edges of a full 35 mm negative appears before any mechanical limit of the adapter itself.
