IRISCan Desk 7 Business Refurbished Scanner

The IRISCan Desk 7 Business is a refurbished camera-style document scanner built around a 24MP CMOS sensor with a white LED lamp rated at 400 Lux. It captures images up to 5696 x 4272 pixels and handles pages as large as 11.7" x 16.5". A USB Type-C port provides both data and power, drawing 10W while scanning and 4W when idle.

Windows 10/11 or macOS 13-15 Users Needing OCR

This unit suits offices that want real-time document projection, noise reduction and OCR with text-to-speech on Windows 10, Windows 11 or macOS 13, 14, 15 with Apple ARM processors. It requires 8 GB RAM, 2 GB disk space and a graphics card with 2 GB VRAM. Buyers who need a flatbed mechanism, automatic document feeder, TWAIN drivers or Linux support should look elsewhere.

24MP CMOS Sensor Decides Fit

The single specification that decides whether this is the right part is the 24MP CMOS sensor delivering 5696 x 4272 pixel optical resolution. That resolution determines the level of detail captured for books, contracts or large-format originals up to 11.7" x 16.5". If your workflow demands higher pixel counts or a different sensor type, this scanner will not meet the requirement.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the 24MP CMOS sensor is capturing full 5696 x 4272 pixel images after setup?

Open the IRIS software, scan a test page at the highest resolution setting, then check the exported file properties — it should show 5696 x 4272 pixels.

What comes in the box with the IRISCan Desk 7 Business and what must I provide separately?

The scanner with its built-in white LED lamp (max 400 lux) and a USB Type-C cable are included; you must supply a Windows 10 or 11 PC with an Intel or AMD CPU, 8 GB RAM, 2 GB free disk space and a graphics card with 2 GB VRAM, or a Mac with macOS 13, 14 or 15 on an M1 chip, 8 GB RAM and 2 GB free disk space.

Which version of the IRISCan Desk 7 Business should I choose for a 11.7" x 16.5" document workflow?

The single Desk 7 Business model (MPN 464416) handles up to 11.7" x 16.5" documents with its 24MP camera, so no other capacity or version selection is needed.
