Three 5.25-inch bays to five hot-swap 3.5-inch

The cage fits into three standard 5.25-inch front-panel openings and presents five trays that accept 3.5-inch SAS or SATA hard drives. Each tray supports hot-swap operation so drives can be exchanged without powering down the server. An extra RAID controller is required for RAID configurations.

Aluminium chassis with conductive grooves and 80

The aluminium body acts as a heatsink and its conductive dissipation grooves move heat away from the drives. A built-in 80 mm fan subsystem includes a speed-control switch to balance airflow and noise. Power, drive-activity, fan-status and high-temperature LEDs are visible on the front bezel.

6.0 Gb/s interface with 4 TB drive compatibility

The backplane delivers up to 6.0 Gb/s transfer rates for SAS I/II and SATA I/II/III drives and is validated with 4 TB 3.5-inch units. It also accepts 2.5-inch SAS and SATA drives using the same trays. The five-bay density suits internal RAID or JBOD arrays where hot-swap redundancy is required.
