Compact 2U Server Chassis

The iStarUSA D-200SEA-SL-HDD2535 is a 2U rack-mount cabinet designed for space-constrained server deployments. Its silver aluminium front bezel and black 1.2mm SECC steel chassis provide a professional appearance for data centres or office racks. The unit supports ATX and microATX motherboards measuring 12" x 9.6" and includes a 2U power supply bay. Front-panel indicators show power, drive activity, temperature and fan status when a sensor board is fitted.

Suited for Dense Storage Builds

This chassis suits administrators who need up to four drives in a shallow 2U form factor, with two internal 3.5" bays and two 5.25" bays that accept hot-swap cages. The three expansion slots accommodate PCI, PCI-X, AGP or PCI-Express add-in cards for RAID controllers or network adapters. Builders requiring more than three add-in cards, deeper chassis clearance or tool-less drive trays should consider larger enclosures.

Three Full-Height Expansion Slots

The chassis provides exactly three full-height expansion slots, which limits the number of add-in cards you can install. Verify that your RAID controller, NIC or other peripherals fit within this slot budget before ordering.

Questions about this item

What maintenance does the 80mm fan in the iStarUSA D-200SEA-SL-HDD2535 require over time?

The standard 80mm fan may need periodic cleaning or replacement to maintain airflow through the 1.2mm SECC steel chassis.

What thermal limit appears first when the chassis runs continuously with only the standard 80mm fan?

With a single 80mm fan, the internal temperature sensor (which requires the optional TC-ISF08 board) will likely trigger a warning before drive or component limits are reached.

How much noise and heat does the standard 80mm fan produce during all-day operation?

The single 80mm fan provides baseline cooling for the 2U chassis; adding three optional 60mm fans with the DD-FANGUARD-6 bracket increases airflow but also raises acoustic output.
