5.25-inch hot-swap rack for SAS and SATA drives

The iStarUSA T-7M1HD-BLACK fits a single 5.25-inch bay and accepts one 3.5-inch or 2.5-inch drive. It supports SAS I/II/III and SATA I/II/III interfaces with a 12Gb/s transfer rate. The tray is built from aluminium for the handle and main chassis. A power on/off button and cableless plug-and-play connection simplify installation.

12Gb/s interface limited by drive and controller

The rack passes through the native speed of the installed SAS or SATA drive up to 12Gb/s. Actual throughput depends on the drive generation and the host controller capability. No master/slave configuration is required because each bay operates point-to-point. Drives up to 14TB capacity are compatible with the mechanical design.

Aluminium body with 80mm blower fan for cooling

The aluminium construction acts as a heatsink while an 80mm blower fan forces air across the drive. Power and activity LEDs on the front panel give immediate status feedback.
