12U Wallmount Server Cabinet with 2U Drawer

The iStarUSA WM1260-DWR2U is a 12U wall-mounted enclosure built from 2.0mm SPCC steel posts and 1.2mm SPCC enclosure panels. It supports equipment up to 22 inches deep and carries a 130 lbs weight capacity. The unit ships pre-assembled in black and includes a lockable front door that opens 230 degrees. A 2U sliding drawer is included for tools or peripherals.

Installation Checklist

Verify that your wall structure can bear the combined load of the cabinet and installed hardware up to 130 lbs. Confirm the mounting hardware suits your wall material and that the 23.62-inch width and depth fit the chosen location. Ensure the 22-inch maximum chassis depth accommodates your servers or network gear. Plan cable routes through the top, bottom or rear tunnels before securing the cabinet. Optional dual AC fans and caster or stand kits require separate provisioning.

Upgrade Context

This cabinet replaces open-frame racks or desktop stacking when physical security, dust protection and lockable access are needed. The jump is worth it when equipment depth stays within 22 inches and the 12U height covers current and near-term devices. It is not suited for deeper blade chassis, full-height rackmount UPS units or installations requiring more than 12U of continuous rack space. Buyers needing forced-air cooling beyond optional dual fans or a higher static load rating should consider floor-standing alternatives.

Questions about this item

Does the WM1260-DWR2U ship with mounting hardware or do I need to buy cage nuts separately?

What does the 130 lb weight capacity mean when the rack is mounted on a wall?

The welded 2.0 mm SPCC steel frame is rated to hold 130 lbs of installed equipment when properly secured to wall studs.
