Rack capacity and form factor

The iStarUSA WN158 is a 15U server rack cabinet with an 800mm depth, designed to house standard 19-inch rackmount equipment. Its fully adjustable horizontal rails accommodate most chassis depths up to 27.5 inches, making it suitable for small business server rooms, branch offices, or secure equipment closets where a full-height cabinet is not required.

Maximum supported chassis depth

The single specification that determines fit is the maximum supported chassis depth of 27.5 inches, measured at the outer post-to-post dimension of 26.5 inches. Equipment deeper than this limit cannot be installed, so buyers must verify their hardware dimensions before purchasing this enclosure.

Cooling airflow and structural load

Vented front and rear doors combined with 120mm AC cooling fans provide active air circulation through the cabinet. The steel construction using SPCC 0.8mm side panels and 2.0mm horizontal rails supports a static load of 2200.00 lbs without casters, 880.00 lbs with casters, and a dynamic load of 660.00 lbs during transport.

Questions about this item

What does the 15U capacity mean for the equipment I can install?

The cabinet provides 15 rack units of vertical space, giving you 27.25 inches of usable height for standard 19-inch rack-mount servers and network gear.

How does the 800mm depth limit what chassis I can mount?

The maximum outer post-to-post depth is 26.5 inches, so any chassis 27.5 inches deep or less will fit on the fully adjustable horizontal rails.

What floor space and clearance does the 31.5-inch deep cabinet need?

The unit measures 35.25 inches high, 23.50 inches wide and 31.50 inches deep; allow extra room for the double rear doors to swing and for cable entry at the top, bottom, front and back.
