4U Vertical Wall Rack

The iStarUSA WUT-40B is a 4U wall-mount cabinet built from steel and finished in black. It accepts standard 19-inch rack equipment up to 23 inches deep and mounts vertically on a wall or horizontally under a desk. Mounting holes sit 16 inches apart to align with typical wall studs. The unit supports up to 165 lbs of gear.

Space-constrained offices and edge sites

This rack suits installers who need to mount switches, patch panels, or power strips where floor space is unavailable. It works for vertical wall runs or horizontal under-desk placement in small offices or wiring closets. Sites that require deeper enclosures, higher load ratings, or lockable doors should evaluate larger cabinets.

165 lb weight capacity

The 165 lb loading limit is the single figure that determines whether your planned equipment can be installed safely. Exceeding it risks structural failure and voids the intended use case. Verify the combined weight of all devices before mounting.

Questions about this item

What mounting hardware comes in the box and what must I buy separately?

The WUT-40B includes M5 mounting screws and cage nuts for 19-inch equipment. You must supply the lag bolts or anchors that secure the rack to wall studs or a desk surface.

How do I decide whether the 4U height and 23-inch depth limit suit my gear?

The cabinet provides 4 rack units of vertical space and accepts equipment 23 inches deep or less. Measure your longest device; if it exceeds 23 inches or needs more than 4U, this model will not fit.

What does the 165 lb weight capacity mean once the rack is on my wall?

The 165 lb rating applies when the unit is fastened to structural framing using the 16-inch on-centre mounting holes. Total installed equipment weight must stay at or below that figure.
