15U 4-Post Open Frame Server Rack

The iStarUSA WX-158 provides 15U of rack space in a four-post open frame design built from SPCC steel. Horizontal and vertical rails use 2.0mm material while the top panel uses 1.2mm steel. It suits installers mounting standard 19-inch server chassis in a fixed location.

Rail adjustment and chassis clearance

Mounting rails are fully adjustable horizontally to match the depth of rack-mount chassis from major vendors. Verify that your equipment depth fits within the 31.5-inch frame depth and that the 23.5-inch overall width suits your floor layout before ordering.

Weight distribution and airflow

The rack weighs 108 lbs and rests on its four posts without enclosed sides, allowing unrestricted airflow around installed hardware. Ensure the supporting floor can handle the concentrated load of a fully populated 15U stack.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box and which mounting hardware must I buy separately?

The rack ships as a 15U four-post open frame with horizontal rails, vertical rails and a top panel all made from SPCC steel at 2.0 mm and 1.2 mm thickness; cage nuts and screws for your servers are not included.

How do I decide between the 15U height and a taller model if both fit my aisle?

This unit provides exactly 15 rack units of vertical space measuring 35.25 inches tall, so choose it when your equipment list fits within 15U and you need the 23.5 by 31.5 inch footprint.

What does the 108 lb weight mean for floor loading and moving the rack into place?

At 108 lbs the frame is light enough for two people to position on a standard raised floor, yet the 2.0 mm SPCC rails give full structural rigidity for heavy chassis from IBM, HP, Dell or iStarUSA.
