36U 4-Post Open Frame Rack

The iStarUSA WX-3610 is a 36U 4-post open frame server rack built for data centres and server rooms that need high-density equipment mounting. It suits administrators who want unrestricted airflow and easy cable access for rackmount chassis and network gear.

Capacity and headroom

The rack provides 36U of vertical space and a loading capacity of 2200.00 lbs, supporting chassis depths of 34" and under. Horizontal and vertical rails are constructed from SPCC t:2.0mm steel with a 1.2mm top panel, while fully adjustable mounting rails ensure a precise fit for most standard rackmount equipment.

Practical limits of the open frame standard

The open frame design omits integrated side panels and doors, so physical security and dust protection require optional accessories. Casters include a locking mechanism for stability, but the unit lacks built-in environmental controls, making it unsuitable for locations that demand enclosed cooling or noise isolation.

Questions about this item

Will my existing 34-inch deep servers fit in this 36U open frame rack?

Yes, the rack supports chassis depths of 34 inches and under, so your current servers will mount without modification.

How can I verify the rack is assembled correctly before loading equipment?

Check that all four vertical rails are plumb, the horizontal rails are level, the casters lock securely, and the M5 cage nuts align with the 36U hole pattern.

Does the box include side panels and doors, or must I order them separately?

Side panels and front or rear doors are optional accessories; the shipment includes the frame, adjustable rails, casters, M5 screws and cage nuts only.
