iStarUSA Multilane x4 SATA Host Adapter

The iStarUSA zAGE-H-4SA70 is a server accessory that converts a multilane x4 connection into SATA ports. It targets administrators expanding internal storage connectivity on compatible host controllers. The adapter provides a direct link for SATA drives without adding protocol overhead.

Replacing limited onboard SATA ports

This adapter upgrades a system constrained by a shortage of native SATA connectors. The jump is worth it when the host controller presents an x4 multilane interface and additional drive bays are available. It does not serve builds lacking that specific multilane header.

Fits into a server storage expansion

The card occupies a slot or header wired for x4 multilane signalling and breaks it out to SATA cables. It frees the builder from port-count limits on the motherboard or RAID controller. Cabling and drive power must be supplied separately to complete the installation.
