Mini SAS x4 Host Adapter

The iStarUSA zAGE-H-8788-SI is a server accessory that provides a Mini SAS x4 host connection. It suits administrators adding direct-attached SAS storage to a server or workstation. The card is supplied new and carries RoHS compliance.

PCIe slot integration

Installation requires an available PCI Express slot inside the host chassis. The adapter frees onboard ports for other duties while presenting a compact external Mini SAS x4 interface. No auxiliary power cable is mentioned in the specifications.

Sustained data movement

The adapter maintains a steady SAS link during extended backup, replication or archival jobs. It is not intended for workloads that demand multiple simultaneous host ports or integrated RAID processing. Buyers who need onboard cache or battery-backed write protection should consider a dedicated RAID controller instead.
