Compatible Asus Models

This 120W AC adapter replaces original 120W and 90W chargers for Asus FX, GL, G550, G752, G771, N705 and X550 series laptops. It supplies 19V at 6.32A to power the notebook and charge its lithium-ion battery whether the system is on or off. Buyers needing an 180W or 230W unit should look elsewhere.

Sustained Power Delivery

High power efficiency provides consistent and continuous power during extended work or gaming sessions. Comprehensive internal safety features filter input line voltage spikes or surges and limit output voltage or current to protect the laptop from electrical hazards. The adapter operates on AC 100 to 240V at 50Hz for worldwide use.

Connector And Build Quality

A right-angle 5.5mm DC plug without a centre pin reduces stress on the laptop power jack and the adapter itself. The ruggedised case withstands harsh mobile environments with tight sealing against moisture and high humidity. Two six-foot cords, a UL-listed 3-prong AC cable and a DC cable, give ample reach without extension cords.

Questions about this item

How much heat or noise does the 120W 19V 6.32A adapter produce when it runs continuously?

The unit has no fan, so it is silent; normal warmth occurs during sustained load but the ruggedised case is designed to dissipate heat without overheating.

What must I already own for this 5.5 mm tip adapter to work with my Asus laptop?

You need a compatible Asus model such as the FX53, GL551, GL552, GL553, GL752, GL753, G550, G752, G771, N705 or X550 series that accepts a 19 V 6.32 A input.

Will this 120W charger work alongside the original 90W brick I still have for an older Asus notebook?

Yes, it replaces the original 120W and 90W adapters; it does not replace 180W or 230W units, so the older 90W brick can remain as a spare for supported models.
