Targeted replacement adapter

This 120 W AC adapter is built for MSI WE62 and WE72 series laptops that require a 19 V, 6.32 A supply. It ships new with a 5.5 mm barrel plug that has no centre pin, matching the exact connector used by the listed models. The right-angle DC jack reduces strain on the laptop power socket during daily use.

Build integration

A 6 ft UL-listed AC cord and a 6 ft DC lead give ample reach without extra extension leads. Internal protection circuits filter input surges and clamp output voltage and current to shield the notebook from electrical hazards. The unit replaces the original 90 W or 120 W charger but cannot supply the higher wattage demanded by 150 W, 180 W or 230 W systems.

Upgrade context

Owners of compatible WE62 7RI, 7RJ or WE72 7RJ units can swap a failed or lost factory brick for this direct substitute. It is not suitable for machines that ship with 150 W, 180 W or 230 W adapters, so buyers needing that extra headroom must look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Does the 120W output sustain continuous charging without overheating?

The adapter delivers 19V at 6.32A for a steady 120W output and includes internal safety features that filter voltage spikes and limit output to protect the laptop during sustained use.

How much heat or noise does the right-angle DC connector produce during all-day operation?

The 90-degree elbow reduces stress on the power jack and runs silently with no moving parts; the UL-listed 6 ft AC cord and 6 ft DC cord keep the brick positioned for airflow.

Which MSI models must I already own for this 5.5 mm tip to fit?

It fits MSI WE62 and WE72 series including WE62 7RI-1862US, WE62 7RI-2012US, WE62 7RJ, WE62 7RJ-1828US, WE62 7RJ-1832US, WE62 7RJ-1833US, WE62 7RJ-2011US, WE72 and WE72 7RJ.
