Buyers replacing a 120 W or 90 W Sager charger

Owners of the listed Sager laptops who need a new 120 W or 90 W replacement will find the correct voltage, current and plug fit here. It does not replace 180 W or 230 W adapters, so users whose machines require those higher-wattage units should look elsewhere. The adapter is sold new and includes overload, short-circuit, over-voltage, over-current and over-temperature protection.

Steady 120 W output under continuous load

The adapter maintains its rated 120 W output during sustained charging sessions thanks to high power efficiency and a durable case that seals out water and humidity. Built-in safety circuits protect against overload, short circuit, over-voltage, over-current and over-temperature conditions throughout extended use. The long AC and DC cables reduce strain on the connector during prolonged operation.

Questions about this item

Does my Sager NP6858 need anything besides this adapter to charge?

No — the unit includes a 6 ft UL listed 3-prong AC cord and a 6 ft DC cord with a 5.5 mm plug tip, so the NP6858 can charge straight from a wall outlet.

Can I keep using my old 90 W Sager charger alongside this 120 W unit?

Yes, the 120 W adapter replaces both 90 W and 120 W Sager chargers, so the older 90 W brick will still work on supported models.

How do I confirm the adapter is delivering 19.5 V at 6.15 A after setup?

Measure the DC plug with a multimeter set to DC volts; it should read 19.5 V under load, and the laptop battery indicator should show charging.
