230 W AC Adapter for ThinkPad P73 and T15g Gen 1

This 230 W AC adapter from iTekiro is built for Lenovo ThinkPad P73 and T15g Gen 1 mobile workstations that require a 20 V 11.5 A power supply. It replaces the original 170 W or 230 W charger and includes a slim plug tip designed for the rectangular charging port on these models. Professionals who need a reliable spare or replacement unit for daily office or field use will find it matches the factory voltage and current ratings exactly.

Practical limits of the 230 W barrel interface

The barrel connector delivers 230 W at 20 V and cannot support systems that demand 280 W, 300 W, 330 W or 400 W adapters. The package supplies a 6 ft UL-listed AC cord and a 6 ft DC cord for a combined reach of 12 ft without an extension lead. Overload, short-circuit, over-voltage, over-current and over-temperature protections are built into the adapter housing.

Deciding spec: 230 W output at 20 V 11.5 A

The single figure that determines compatibility is the 230 W output at 20 V and 11.5 A; any ThinkPad requiring a higher wattage brick will not operate correctly with this unit. Buyers whose machines ship with a 280 W or larger charger must source a higher-rated adapter instead.

Questions about this item

Which ThinkPad models does this 230W adapter replace?

It replaces 170W and 230W Lenovo chargers for the ThinkPad P73 and T15g Gen 1 series, but it does not replace 280W, 300W, 330W or 400W adapters.

What does the 230W output mean for my laptop in daily use?

The adapter delivers 20V at 11.5A, providing enough power to run the workstation and charge the battery simultaneously under full load.

What connector standard does this adapter use and what does it limit?

It uses a slim plug tip designed for compatible ThinkPad models; the 230W rating caps the maximum power draw, so it cannot support systems that require 280W or higher.
