Questions about this item

Does the adapter come with both the AC cord and the DC cable, or do I need to buy either one separately?

The package includes a 6 ft UL listed 3-prong AC power cord and a 6 ft DC power cord attached to the adapter, so nothing extra is required.

My laptop originally shipped with a 230 W charger; will this 240 W unit work safely?

Yes — the adapter replaces Asus 120 W, 150 W, 180 W, 200 W, 230 W and 240 W chargers, but it does not replace 280 W, 300 W or 330 W models.

The spec says 20 V 12 A; what does that actually deliver to my ROG GX701 under load?

It supplies up to 240 W at 20 V and 12 A, matching the original power requirement for the listed GX701, GX650, GX550 and GX502 models.
