iVIEW 3300STB Digital Converter Box

The iVIEW 3300STB is a digital converter box that converts over-the-air digital television signals for display on analog televisions. It also functions as a media player with recording capabilities and includes an HDMI connection for modern displays. The unit is designed for households relying on free broadcast television.

Viewers keeping an analog television

This device suits viewers who want to continue using an existing analog TV to receive free digital broadcasts without a cable subscription. It also fits users who want to record programmes to an external USB hard drive and playback media files. Buyers who need a built-in hard drive or streaming apps should look at something else.

USB port for external hard drive up to 4TB

The USB port supports an external hard drive up to 4TB for recording live TV and playing back media files. This storage capacity determines how many hours of programmes can be saved. Without an external drive the recording function cannot be used.

Questions about this item

Which version of the iVIEW 3300STB should I choose for recording TV shows?

The 3300STB model includes a built‑in recording function and a USB port that supports an external hard drive up to 4 TB, so this single version covers both live viewing and PVR duties.

What does the ClearQAM capability mean when I connect the box to my TV?

ClearQAM lets the tuner decode unencrypted digital cable channels directly, so you can watch basic cable line‑ups without a separate set‑top box or subscription card.

How does the HDMI connection affect the picture quality on an older analog set?

The HDMI output delivers a digital high‑definition signal to the converter, which then down‑converts it to analog for the TV, giving a cleaner image than composite or RF connections.
