Capture Card VC247 for Streaming

The TCNEWCL VC247 is a USB 3.0 HDMI capture device built for creators who record or stream gameplay at 1080p60. It accepts 4K60 input from consoles such as PS4, PS5, Xbox and Switch and passes a loop-out signal to a display. The unit works driver-free on Windows 7 through 11, macOS 10.9 and later, Linux and Android 8 plus.

Loop-out and Audio Input

A 4K60 HDMI loop-out mirrors the source to a monitor without adding latency, letting the player see the action in full resolution while the PC records 1080p60. A 3.5 mm TRS microphone jack mixes live commentary into the capture stream, so no separate audio interface is required. The aluminium enclosure measures 4.9 by 1.3 by 5.66 inches and weighs .21 kilograms.

1080p60 Capture Headroom

The card captures a single HDMI channel at 1080p60 over USB 3.0, which is sufficient for Twitch, YouTube or local recording at standard bit-rates. It cannot encode 4K or high-frame-rate 1440p output, so producers targeting 4K60 deliverables need a different solution. HDCP 2.2 protected content will not pass through the capture path.

Questions about this item

Does the VC247 have any parts like fans or batteries that will need replacement later?

The VC247 has no moving parts or batteries; it draws power from the USB 3.0 port so no internal components require scheduled replacement.

What resolution limit appears first when capturing continuously at 60 fps?

Capture tops out at 1080p 60 Hz even though the HDMI input accepts 4K 60 Hz, so the 1080p ceiling is the first limit you hit.

How much heat or noise does the VC247 produce during all-day streaming?

With no fan and only 0.21 kg of aluminium housing, it runs silent and stays barely warm during extended use.
