Iwatani HANSGO 8-piece silicone baby spoons

This set contains eight first-stage infant spoons made from 100% food-grade silicone that is free of BPA, PVC and phthalates. Each spoon measures 6.4 inches long with a .87 inch head width sized for small hands and mouths. The soft, flexible tips bend in all directions and have no internal support to protect tender gums and developing teeth. Integrated one-piece construction prevents food and water from becoming trapped inside.

Suits parents starting stage-one self-feeding

The pastel colour range is chosen for developing vision rather than saturated tones, and the long handles are shaped for an early grip. Buyers who need dishwasher-safe utensils should look elsewhere because these require hand washing only. The bamboo detail noted in the data refers to a different product line and does not apply to these silicone spoons.

Deciding specification: hand-wash only care

The spoons cannot be cleaned in a dishwasher or sterilised by boiling despite the supplier title suggesting otherwise; only hand washing is confirmed. If your routine depends on machine cleaning or boil-proof durability, this set will not meet that need.

Questions about this item

How do I clean the Iwatani HANSGO HH0297 spoons without damaging the 100% food-grade silicone?

Hand-wash only; the supplier specifies hand wash and the spoons are not dishwasher safe.

When will the 8-piece set need replacement if used daily for stage-one feeding?

Inspect the soft tips regularly; replace any spoon that shows bite marks, tears or clouding on the silicone surface.

At what temperature does the 6.4-inch spoon handle become too hot to hold during prolonged boiling?

The integrated silicone design conducts heat quickly; limit boiling to brief sterilisation and cool before handing to the baby.
