HVAC Sealing Tape

JVCC AF50 aluminum foil tape is built for HVAC professionals who need to join and seal FSK-facing laminated fiberglass blanket and duct board joints. It also handles flexible air duct seams and connections in commercial and residential systems. The solvent acrylic adhesive delivers strong holding power on metal and faced insulation surfaces.

Linered Roll For Clean Application

Each roll carries a paper release liner that protects the adhesive until the installer is ready to apply it, reducing waste and keeping the foil backing clean. The three-inch core fits standard tape dispensers used on job sites, so no special tools are required. The tape conforms to irregular duct shapes without bridging or lifting at corners.

Heat And Light Reflection Under Load

The five-mil aluminum carrier reflects radiant heat and light continuously, helping maintain duct thermal performance during extended system operation. Solvent acrylic adhesive resists temperature cycling and humidity without losing bond strength over time. The foil backing retains its reflective properties after prolonged exposure to conditioned air streams.

The foil backing is 5 mil thick and rated for high tensile strength.

Does the adhesive soften or the liner become difficult after the roll warms up during a long job?

The solvent acrylic adhesive keeps strong adhesion and holding power, and the silicone paper liner releases easily even when the roll has warmed up.

What surface or material do I need to have ready before I start sealing duct seams with this tape?

You need clean FSK facing, fiberglass blanket, duct board or flexible air duct material for the tape to bond properly.
