Ultra High Bond Double-Sided Tape

This clear foamed acrylic tape provides structural bonding for demanding applications. It mounts automotive side moldings and emblems securely. The product serves illuminated sign fabrication and architectural panel joining. Builders use it for furniture trim and metal-to-plastic assembly.

Dwell time and liner handling

Maximum adhesion develops after one to twenty-four hours of surface contact. The tape uses a red release-coated polyethylene liner that removes easily. Pressure-sensitive acrylic composition delivers strong initial tack. Good UV resistance supports long-term outdoor exposure.

Sustained load performance

High shear strength maintains bonds under continuous stress. The tape adheres to most plastics, composites, sealed woods and metals. Low-energy surfaces such as polyethylene and polypropylene need thorough evaluation. An adhesive promoter like IPA may be required for those substrates.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 1/2 in wide double-sided tape on a 3 inch core, and what step is often missed?

Apply the tape to a clean surface, press firmly, then allow 1 to 24 hours dwell time before loading the joint — skipping the wait is the common error.

What maintenance or replacement will the clear foamed acrylic tape need later?

The acrylic system resists UV and shear, so no routine maintenance is required; replace only if the bond line is mechanically damaged or the substrate fails.

What limit appears first under sustained load on this 10 mil ultra-high-bond tape?

High shear strength holds the joint until the substrate or mechanical fastener yields; the tape itself does not creep under sustained use.
