Jabra Enterprise Products 14201-20 Electronic Hook Switch telephone accessory

Electronic Hook Switch adapter

The Jabra LINK 14201-20 is an Electronic Hook Switch adapter that connects compatible Jabra wireless headsets to supported Alcatel desk phones. It translates headset button presses into call-control signals so the phone can answer, end, mute or adjust volume without the user touching the handset. The adapter also provides a voice-recorder socket for capturing conversations. It is designed for office environments that want wireless desk-phone operation.

Compatibility and use cases

The unit works with Alcatel Touch 4028, 4038, 4068, 4029 and 4039 phones and with Jabra PRO 9400 series, GO 6470, GN9350e and GN9120 headsets. Buyers who need remote call control on those specific models will find the adapter fits directly. Organisations using other phone brands, corded headsets or headsets not listed should look at a different EHS solution.

Voice-recorder socket

A dedicated recorder socket on the adapter lets users plug in a recording device to capture important calls. This feature is not standard on every EHS adapter and is the deciding factor for teams that must document conversations for compliance or training. If call recording is not required, a simpler adapter without the socket may be sufficient.
