Low-Voltage Only with 20 AWG Multi-Strand Wire

The cable is rated for low-voltage use only and uses 20 AWG multi-strand aluminium conductors. Voltage drop increases with run length, so very long extensions may dim the far end of a strip. Outdoor runs must be protected from physical damage and water ingress at every solder joint.

Solder-Only Connections Require Basic Skill

Each joint must be soldered; no plug-in connectors are supplied. Clean insulation stripping and heat-shrink coverage are essential to prevent shorts. Cold solder joints or reversed polarity are the most common faults and will cause flickering or dead sections.
