Ready-to-fit 12V LED underbody strips

These waterproof LED strips run on DC 12V and come in packs of 6, 12 or 18 pieces. Each strip is 12 inches long with a 9.4 inch power cord and carries 15 SMD 3528 LEDs. The IP68 rating means they withstand full immersion during everyday vehicle use.

Suits car and motorcycle owners wanting simple

Drivers who need a quick, no-tool installation for underbody glow will appreciate the direct red-to-positive and black-to-negative wiring. Buyers who require a complete kit with a power supply, connectors or a multi-colour controller should look elsewhere, as only the strips themselves are included.

The IP68 waterproof rating is the deciding spec

It guarantees the strips survive rain, road spray and wash-downs without sealing failures. If your mounting location stays permanently dry, a lower-rated strip could work, but for true underbody exposure the IP68 seal is the single specification that makes this product viable.

Questions about this item

How much light does each 30 cm strip actually put out?

Each 30 cm strip uses 15 SMD 3528 LEDs running at 0.1 A on 12 V, giving a low-glare accent rather than a flood beam.

What does the IP68 rating mean when the strips are mounted under a vehicle?

IP68 means the housing is dust-tight and rated for continuous immersion, so road spray, wash-downs and shallow standing water will not penetrate the seal.

How much clearance do I need to tuck the 3 mm thick strips and their 24 cm power cords into the chassis?

The strip itself is 3 mm thick and the power cord extends 24 cm, so allow at least 5 mm of gap for the strip plus room for the cord bend radius.
