48W Step-Down USB Charger
The JacobsParts USBMOD-M converts a 12-30 V DC source into two USB fast-charge ports. Each port delivers up to 24 W at 5 V 3.4 A, 9 V 2.5 A or 12 V 2 A. It suits installers adding USB power to vehicles, solar setups or industrial equipment.
Buck Module Integration
The board accepts 6-30 V input and regulates down with 90-97 % efficiency. Built-in over-voltage, under-voltage, over-current, short-circuit and thermal protection guard connected devices. A heat-dissipating PCB and 220 kHz switching frequency keep temperatures low without an external heatsink.
Replaces Separate Chargers
This module replaces individual car chargers or AC adapters when a DC supply is already present. The jump is worthwhile when you need QC 3.0, AFC, SFCP, BC 1.2 or MTK PE 1.1/2.0 from a single 12 V or 24 V rail. It does not suit buyers who need AC mains input or more than two USB ports.

Questions about this item
What is the maximum continuous power the USBMOD-M can deliver before thermal protection engages?
The module is rated for 48 W total, with each USB port limited to 24 W. Thermal protection activates if sustained output exceeds the design limits.
How much heat and noise does the 220 kHz switching regulator produce under all-day load?
The 220 kHz buck converter uses a heat-dissipating PCB and has no fan, so operation is silent and warmth stays moderate at 90-97 % efficiency.
Which DC power sources can I connect to the 6-30 V input terminals?
Any 6-30 V DC supply — such as a 12 V or 24 V battery, solar panel, or regulated adapter — that can provide up to 48 W will work.
