Shares four USB 3.0 peripherals between two computers with one-button switching and LED status
The Jansicotek switch lets two computers share four USB 3.0 peripherals with a single button press. It targets home users and small offices that want to avoid cable swapping or network-share configuration for printers, scanners, keyboards, mice or storage drives.
The unit draws power from the USB bus and includes a micro-USB port for an external 5 V adapter when high-draw devices such as hard drives or SSDs are connected. No driver installation is required on Windows, macOS, Linux or Chrome OS, and LED indicators show the active computer at a glance.
All four downstream ports share the single 5 Gbps upstream link, so simultaneous heavy transfers from multiple drives will contend for throughput. The switch only handles USB data; it does not pass video, audio or dedicated charging protocols, so users needing monitor switching or fast charging must look elsewhere.

The switch uses USB 3.0, capping data transfer at 5 Gbps for each of the four shared ports.
It needs a free USB-A port on each computer, the two supplied USB cables, and a flat surface for the compact switch housing.
Plug the two USB cables into the computers, attach peripherals to the four ports, press the button to swap; the step often missed is adding a 5 V adapter to the micro-USB power port when using high-draw devices.
