Questions about this item

How do I decide between using all seven ports or leaving some free for future devices?

The switch has seven HDMI inputs and one output, so you can connect up to seven sources at once and still have the option to add more later by simply leaving ports unused.

What does the 4K 60Hz rating actually deliver when the switch is in use?

It passes 4K resolution at 60 frames per second with HDR10, and also handles 1080p at 30 or 60 Hz and 3D 1080p without lag or signal loss.

Which HDMI version and HDCP standard limit the bandwidth and copy-protection handshake?

The unit uses HDMI 2.0b and HDCP 2.2, capping data throughput at 18 Gbps and enabling protected 4K 60Hz content.
