Active HDMI-to-VGA adapter with 3.5 mm audio jack, USB power cord and 10 ft cable for 1920 x 1080 video
The Jansicotek Active HDMI to VGA Adapter connects an HDMI source such as a laptop, Raspberry Pi or TV box to a VGA monitor or projector. It supports video resolutions up to 1920x1080 and 1600x1200 for broad display compatibility. A 3.5 mm stereo audio jack and a Micro USB charging cord are included for separate sound transmission and supplemental power. This unidirectional adapter does not support HDCP protected content.
The compact adapter body contains no moving parts and operates silently in normal use. Power is drawn directly from the HDMI port, with the optional Micro USB connection available only when the source port supplies insufficient current. No external power supply is required for typical laptop or desktop outputs. The short 10 ft cable run adds negligible resistance to the signal path.
The lightweight black housing is designed for travel in a laptop bag or permanent desktop placement. A captive 10 ft cable terminates in a standard HDMI plug, while the VGA side requires a separate VGA cable to reach the display. Integrated IC circuitry improves handshake reliability with older 4:3 projectors and interactive whiteboards. The adapter only functions from HDMI to VGA and cannot be reversed.

Plug the HDMI end into the source, attach a VGA cable from the adapter to the monitor, connect the 3.5 mm audio cable for sound, then insert the Micro USB cord only if the source has a low-power HDMI port such as a MacBook Pro or Raspberry Pi.
The separate VGA cable and 3.5 mm stereo audio cable are the only external cables that can wear out; the adapter’s built-in IC chip and fixed HDMI connector have no user-serviceable components.
The adapter supports up to 1920x1080 and 1600x1200, so any incoming signal above those resolutions will not be displayed correctly.
