Component to HDMI converter

The Jansicotek converter turns analog YPbPr video and stereo audio from legacy sources into a single HDMI signal. It is aimed at owners of older consoles, DVD players or set-top boxes who want to connect them to a modern display without a dedicated component input. The unit requires the supplied 5V/1A power adapter to operate.

HDMI 1.4 output with scaler

A built-in scaler maps incoming 480i, 480p, 576i, 576p, 720p and 1080i signals to 480p, 576p, 720p or 1080p at 50 or 60 Hz over HDMI 1.4. The converter provides one 5RCA input and one HDMI output, so it slots between a source and a display or receiver without occupying additional ports. HDCP 1.4 compliance allows protected content to pass through.

Bandwidth and resolution limits

The input amplifier handles 1.65 Gbps bandwidth, sufficient for 1080p at 60 Hz. It does not accept 4K, high-frame-rate or HDR signals, and it cannot reverse direction from HDMI to component. Buyers needing multi-channel audio, higher resolutions or an HDMI-to-component path will need a different device.
