Connects a DisplayPort computer to an HDMI display with support for 1080p video and 7.1 surround audio
This adapter converts a DisplayPort source into an HDMI signal for monitors, projectors or HDTVs. It supports PC resolutions up to 1920 x 1200 and HDTV resolutions up to 1080p. A latching DisplayPort plug and a quad-shielded cable help maintain a stable link. The unit also passes 7.1 channel audio through the HDMI connection.
Suits users who need to connect a DisplayPort-equipped computer to an HDMI display for office work, home viewing or conference rooms. Not suited for buyers who require 4K or higher resolutions, high refresh-rate gaming above 1080p, or an active adapter for multi-monitor setups. A separate HDMI cable is also required.
The adapter tops out at 1920 x 1200 for PC graphics and 1080p for HDTV signals. If your display or application needs 4K, 1440p at high refresh rates, or HDR, this unit will not meet those requirements. Check your source and display specifications against these limits before purchase.
