What the cable does and who needs it

This two-pack of 6.6FT USB-C to Lightning cables delivers up to 27W Power Delivery for compatible iPhone and iPad models. Apple MFi certification ensures full compatibility with iPhone 14, 13, 12 and 11 series plus iPad Pro and AirPods Pro. The 3A maximum current supports fast charging when paired with a 27W or higher adapter. Buyers who need a USB-A connector or a longer single cable will not be served by this kit.

Sustained charging and data behaviour

The five-strand thickened wire core maintains stable current flow during extended charging sessions, reducing heat build-up compared with thinner conductors. Flame-retardant outer material further limits temperature rise under continuous 27W load. Data transfer runs at 480Mbps, sufficient for backups and sync but not for high-bandwidth video workflows. The aluminium alloy housing keeps the connector interface stable over repeated insertions.

Thermals, noise and power draw in normal use

Passive construction means no fan noise and zero standby power draw beyond the connected charger. The braided fishing-net jacket dissipates surface heat efficiently during 30-minute fast-charge cycles that bring an iPhone 14 Pro Max to roughly 50% capacity. Reinforced, lengthened strain relief distributes bending force evenly, preventing hot-spots at the cable ends. The cable itself adds no audible or thermal load to the system.

Questions about this item

Does the aluminium-alloy housing and braided fishing-net wire keep the 27W cable cool during all-day charging?

The 5-strand thickened wire core with flame-retardant outer material is designed for high current efficiency and reduced heat generation, while the aluminium-alloy housing and braided fishing-net wire add durability for extended use.

What charger must I already own to reach the 27W PD fast-charging speed on my iPhone 14 Pro Max?

A USB-C power adapter rated for PD 27W or higher is required; the cable is backwards compatible with PD 25W and 20W chargers but will only deliver up to their rated output.

Will the 480Mbps data rate work when I sync my iPhone 11 with a USB-C laptop port?

Yes, the USB-C to Lightning cable supports 480Mbps data transfer for syncing iPhone 11 and other listed models with any USB-C host port.
