What this switch does
The Jansicotek bi-directional HDMI 2.1 switch routes 48 Gbps signals between two sources and one display or one source and two displays. It supports 8K at 60 Hz and 4K at 120 Hz, so gamers with a PS5 or Xbox Series X and creators driving an 8K monitor can share a single high-bandwidth port without swapping cables. Only one screen is active at a time.
When to add it
If your graphics card or console has only one HDMI 2.1 output but you want to alternate between a living-room TV and a desktop monitor, this unit replaces manual cable changes. The jump is worth it when you need 4K 120 Hz or 8K 60 Hz on both screens and your existing cables are 3 metres or shorter. It will not pass 4K 120 Hz HDR from an RTX 3070 3080 3090 to an OLED CX display.
Sustained-load behaviour
The switch maintains the full 48 Gbps link during long gaming sessions or video playback, provided every cable in the chain meets the same specification. Indicator LEDs show which path is live so you can verify the connection without interrupting the signal. Both displays cannot show an image simultaneously, and the 3-metre cable limit applies to each leg of the setup.

Questions about this item
What length HDMI cables can I use with the Jansicotek 2.1 switch?
Each HDMI cable connected to the switch must not exceed 3 metres to maintain 48 Gbps bandwidth for 8K@60Hz or 4K@120Hz signals.
How do I power and change modes on the bi-directional switch?
Connect the included DC 5 V power line, then press the button to toggle between 2-in-1-out and 1-in-2-out; the dual indicator lights show the active mode.
Will I need to replace the power cable or the switch itself over time?
The unit has no user-serviceable parts; only the supplied DC 5 V power cable would need replacement if it becomes damaged.
