Connects HDMI devices to VGA displays with 3.5 mm audio, supports up to 1920x1080@60Hz, 10 ft cable
This white adapter converts an HDMI male output to a VGA female input, letting you connect laptops, desktops, Raspberry Pi units, consoles or streaming boxes to projectors, monitors or HDTVs that only accept VGA. A separate VGA cable is required to complete the link. The 10 ft length and lightweight build make it easy to carry for presentations or quick desk extensions.
A built-in IC chip translates the HDMI digital signal into a VGA analog signal; the device is not bi-directional and cannot send a VGA source to an HDMI display. Gold-plated HDMI connectors resist corrosion and improve signal integrity, while molded strain relief protects the cable junction during frequent plugging and unplugging. Installation is plug-and-play with no drivers needed.
The adapter supports resolutions up to 1920x1080 at 60 Hz, covering 1080p, 720p, 1600x1200 and 1280x1024 for typical office and classroom projectors. A 3.5 mm audio jack extracts stereo sound for speakers, headphones or amplifiers when the display lacks built-in audio. It does not carry audio over the VGA connection itself, so the jack is essential for sound. Buyers needing 4K output, higher refresh rates or a VGA-to-HDMI direction will need a different converter.

The adapter supports up to 1920x1080 at 60 Hz, so a 1080p monitor will display its native resolution at a smooth 60 frames per second. Lower resolutions such as 720p, 1280x1024 and 1600x1200 are also supported.
A built-in IC chip converts the digital HDMI signal to analogue VGA; the 3.5 mm jack extracts the audio stream so you can connect speakers or headphones separately. The conversion is one-way only, from HDMI to VGA.
Plug the HDMI male end into your laptop, connect a separate VGA male-to-male cable from the adapter's VGA female port to the projector, and optionally plug speakers into the 3.5 mm audio jack. No drivers or external power are required.
