What it is

The Jansicotek HDMI2SDI converts a single HDMI source into two simultaneous SDI outputs, making it suitable for broadcast, conferencing, security and multi-display installations where SDI cabling is preferred.

Dual SDI output

One HDMI input carries video up to 1080p at 24, 25, 30, 50 or 60 Hz and the unit replicates that signal on two SDI ports at 2.970 Gbit/s with embedded audio, so a camera feed or graphics output reaches two SDI monitors or recorders without a distribution amplifier.

Sustained operation

The converter draws power from the USB cable provided, requires no external adapter, and includes built-in ESD protection so the 2.970 Gbit/s link remains stable during long sessions such as live production, teaching or monitoring without thermal throttling or signal degradation.

Questions about this item

What does the 1080P headline resolution mean when I connect this converter to my camera and monitors?

The unit accepts HDMI up to 1080p at 24, 25, 30, 50 or 60 Hz and mirrors it to two SDI outputs at the same frame rates, so your camera feed appears on both SDI displays without scaling.

Which SDI standard does the 2.970 Gbit/s bit-rate correspond to and what cable lengths does it allow?

The 2.970 Gbit/s rate is 3G-SDI, supporting up to 100 metres; it also handles HD-SDI at 1.485 Gbit/s for 200 metres and SD-SDI for 300 metres.

What physical space and power do I need to mount the 5.83 x 4.49 x 2.44 inch box?

The converter measures 5.83 by 4.49 by 2.44 inches, weighs 7.8 ounces and draws power from the included USB cable, so no external power brick is required.
