Loop-out and software impact

An HDMI loop-out port passes the source signal to a display while the card captures, so you can play on a monitor without added latency. The box works with common acquisition tools such as OBS, VLC and Amcap on Windows, Linux, macOS and Android, and it draws power from the USB port so no external adapter is needed.

Resolution and cable limits

The HDMI input supports 4K at 30 Hz, but the USB output is capped at 1080p, so 4K sources are downscaled during capture. HDMI cables up to 15 metres are supported at 1080p or lower using AWG26 wiring; longer runs or higher resolutions may need active cables not included here.
