Jansicotek YCY-2353 HDMI to USB 3.0 capture

The Jansicotek YCY-2353 is a USB 3.0 video capturing device that records an HDMI signal at up to 1080p 60Hz while passing through a 4K 30Hz input to a connected display. It supports MJPEG and YUY2 formats, 48 KHz PCM audio, and draws no more than 2.5W directly from the host port. A 3.5 mm TRS microphone input allows live commentary without capturing party chat.

Streaming and recording workflows

The card suits creators who stream to Twitch, YouTube or OBS from consoles, cameras or PCs running Windows 7 or later, macOS 10.9 or later, Linux or Android. It is not for users who need 4K 60Hz capture, multi-channel audio recording, or an internal PCIe form factor. Builders requiring more than one simultaneous HDMI input should look at a different class of device.

Sustained capture behaviour

USB 3.0 bandwidth of 300 to 350 MB/s keeps 1080p 60Hz frames flowing without dropped frames during long sessions; the hardware auto-detects input format and adjusts output size and frame rate on the fly. When connected to a USB 2.0 port the link falls to 40 MB/s, limiting practical capture to lower resolutions and frame rates. No external power supply is required, so thermal load stays minimal inside a compact chassis.
