The Jansicotek OZHW5 turns one RJ45 socket into four so up to three devices can share a single Ethernet line at the same time. It is aimed at home, office or gaming setups where extra wiring is impractical and a quick port expansion is needed. Power comes from an included 80 cm USB cable that must stay connected for the splitter to operate.

The spec that decides fit

Gigabit 1000 Mbps throughput is supported across Cat5, Cat5e, Cat6, Cat7 and Cat8 cables, but the total bandwidth is shared among the active ports. IPTV signals are explicitly not supported and the unit does not assign IP addresses, so a router or switch upstream is still required.

Install and common issues

Plug the USB power lead into a stable socket, connect the incoming cable to any port, then link up to three devices — no software setup needed. LED indicators on each port show link and activity status. The splitter will not work without the USB power connected and cannot replace a managed switch for VLAN or QoS tasks.
