Four-input HDMI switch with ARC

The Jansicotek OZQ7 accepts four HDMI sources and routes one signal to a display at up to 4K@60Hz with 18.5Gbps bandwidth. It extracts audio through Toslink, coaxial and 3.5mm jack outputs while the HDMI output supports audio return channel. The unit handles 480i through 1080p@60Hz and 4K@20/30/60Hz with 24, 30 or 36-bit deep colour and HDCP 1.4 compliance. An IR remote and 5V/1A power adapter are included.

Passive operation with external power

The switch draws power from the supplied 5V/1A adapter and adds no active cooling, so it runs silently in normal use. Maximum bandwidth per channel is 300MHz with a 10.2Gbps baud rate, supporting Dolby True-HD, DTS-HD, AC3, DTS and DSD pass-through without decoding. HDMI 2.0 cables up to 3 metres are supported at 4K@60Hz, extending to 5 metres at 4K@30Hz. The compact chassis measures 5.91 x 2.36 x 0.79 inches and weighs 11.9 ounces.

Simple integration for multi-source setups

Connect up to four devices such as a PC, streaming box, Blu-ray player or console to the four HDMI inputs, then run a single HDMI cable to the display. Audio can be sent to a soundbar or receiver via Toslink or coaxial with ARC support, while the 3.5mm jack provides a separate stereo extract. The switch is not compatible with DVI signals, so HDMI-to-DVI cables should not be used. Buyers who need more than four inputs or HDMI 2.1 features will need a different solution.

Questions about this item

How do I connect the 5 V DC power adapter and the four HDMI sources so the switcher passes 4K at 60 Hz?

Plug the supplied 5 V/1 A adapter into the DC jack, connect each source to one of the four HDMI inputs with cables no longer than 3 metres for 4K 60 Hz, run a single HDMI cable from the output to the display, then use the IR remote or front button to select the active input.

Which audio outputs will need attention if I later add a soundbar that only accepts optical or coaxial digital audio?

The Toslink and coaxial ports both carry the ARC return signal from a compatible TV, while the 3.5 mm jack provides stereo analogue only; choose the digital output that matches the soundbar and leave the other unused.

What cable-length limit appears first when I run 4K 60 Hz through the switcher for long sessions?

HDMI cables must stay at 3 metres or less for 4K 60 Hz; longer runs drop to 4K 30 Hz at up to 5 metres, so cable length is the first practical constraint under sustained high-resolution use.
