Jansicotek OZU8 Aluminium USB Knob

The Jansicotek OZU8 is a USB multimedia control knob built from aluminium alloy with a black finish. It connects via a removable USB-to-USB-C cable and requires no driver installation on Windows 7, 8, 10, XP or Mac OS. The rotary encoder adjusts system volume and a press of the knob mutes or resumes playback instantly.

Desktop users wanting tactile volume control

This knob suits anyone who prefers a physical dial over on-screen sliders for music, video, gaming or conference calls. The weighted base and four anti-slip pads keep it stable on a desk. Buyers who need dedicated media keys for track skipping, a built-in headphone amplifier or wireless connectivity should look at other devices.

Plug-and-play volume and mute for daily use

The aluminium chassis measures 5.4 by 3.5 by 2.1 inches and weighs 0.25 kg, so it stays put while remaining easy to relocate. It handles system-wide volume adjustment and play/pause mute reliably across supported operating systems. It does not offer per-application audio mixing, customisable button mapping or analog audio passthrough.

Questions about this item

Does the USB-to-USB-C cable in the box plug directly into my computer's USB-A port?

Yes, the included cable has a standard USB-A connector on the host end so it fits any USB-A port without an adapter.

Will the rotary knob and mute button control system volume on a Windows 7 machine without extra software?

The device is driver-free on Win7, so the knob adjusts system volume and the press-to-mute works immediately after plugging in.

How can I confirm the aluminium base is stable on my desk once connected?

The 0.25 kg weight and four anti-slip mats keep the 5.4 by 3.5 inch footprint from sliding during use.
