Physical design and compatibility

The LUOM OZU8 is a compact multimedia controller knob built from aluminium alloy measuring 97x61x17mm and weighing 0.25kg. It connects via USB and includes a USB-C cable, working immediately on Windows 10, 8, 7 and macOS without any driver installation. The device suits anyone who wants tactile volume control and playback shortcuts at their desk.

Sustained operation and controls

Rotating the knob adjusts system volume continuously while a single press mutes or unmutes audio instantly. Holding the knob down and turning changes tracks, letting you skip forward or back without reaching for the keyboard. All functions are handled in hardware, so responsiveness stays consistent during long sessions whether you are gaming, streaming or in meetings.

USB interface limits

The controller uses a standard USB connection that draws power from the host port and requires no external supply. Compatibility is limited to systems with an available USB-A or USB-C port and supported operating systems. No software configuration is possible, so the fixed control scheme cannot be remapped or extended beyond the described mute, volume and track functions.

Questions about this item

Does the aluminium-alloy knob get hot or draw noticeable power when left plugged in all day?

The controller draws only standard USB bus power and the aluminium shell stays at room temperature during continuous use.

What ports must my computer already have for the LUOM OZU8 to work?

Your computer needs a free USB-A, USB-C or Micro-USB port; the included USB-to-USB-C cable covers all three.

Will the OZU8 control volume on a Windows 7 machine I still use alongside newer systems?

Yes — the knob is plug-and-play on Windows 7, 8, 10 and Mac with no driver required.
