Share four USB 3.0 peripherals between two computers with one-button switching, LED status indication and optional micro-USB power
This KVM switch connects four USB 3.0 devices to two host computers. A single button toggles which system controls the keyboard, mouse, printer, scanner or storage drives attached to the hub. It suits home offices or small teams that alternate between a pair of desktops or laptops without unplugging cables. No driver installation is required on supported operating systems.
The switch passes USB 3.0 signals through its internal circuitry when a computer is selected. Bus power from the active host runs the hub for typical peripherals such as keyboards, mice and flash drives. For devices that draw more current — including portable hard drives or SSDs — an external 5 V adapter connected to the micro-USB port keeps the link stable during long copy or backup sessions. The adapter is sold separately.
Each downstream port operates at the USB 3.0 signalling rate of 5 Gbps, shared between the four ports and the single upstream connection to the active computer. Total throughput cannot exceed the bandwidth of that one upstream link, so simultaneous heavy transfers on multiple drives will contend for the same channel. The hub is backward compatible with USB 2.0 and 1.1 devices, which negotiate at their native speeds.

The unit is a passive USB 3.0 sharing switch with no fan or active cooling, so it produces no audible noise and negligible heat during continuous operation.
Two USB-A cables for the computer links are included; you only need a standard 5 V micro-USB power adapter if you attach high-draw devices such as external hard drives.
Yes — the switch supports Windows 7, Vista and XP as well as modern Windows, macOS, Linux and Chrome OS without any driver installation.
