Two-PC USB-C KVM for One DisplayPort Monitor

The Jansicotek TJ-A0126 connects two USB-C computers to a single DisplayPort 1.4 display. A front-panel button toggles the active system, while three USB 2.0 ports keep keyboard, mouse and printer attached to whichever PC is selected. The unit draws power from an included USB-A to USB-C cable.

DisplayPort 1.4 Bandwidth and DSC Requirements

Video runs through a DP 1.4 link rated at 32.4 Gbps. The 8K 60 Hz and 4K 144 Hz modes rely on Display Stream Compression, so the source GPU and monitor must both support DSC. Without DSC the link is limited to 8K 30 Hz or 4K 60 Hz at full chroma. USB peripherals share a 480 Mbps USB 2.0 pool.

Resolution Headroom and Peripheral Limits

The switch passes 1080p up to 165 Hz, 4K up to 144 Hz with DSC, and 8K at 60 Hz with DSC. Deep colour up to 12-bit and 4:4:4 chroma are supported within the DP 1.4 envelope. USB devices are restricted to USB 2.0 speeds, so high-throughput storage or 10 Gbps accessories will not reach their rated performance.
