50-foot DisplayPort 1.4 fiber cable

The Jansicotek TJ-A077 is a 50 ft fiber-optic DisplayPort 1.4 cable built for long-distance 8K and high-refresh 4K video. It connects a DisplayPort 1.4 source to a DisplayPort 1.4 display using male-to-male connectors. The hybrid glass-fiber and copper construction maintains signal integrity over 15 metres where copper cables would fail. It suits installers and enthusiasts routing video through walls or across large rooms.

Signal integrity over distance

Fiber-optic transmission eliminates electromagnetic interference and signal loss across the full 50 ft length. The cable supports up to 32.4 Gbps bandwidth, enabling 8K at 60 Hz and 4K at 144 Hz without compression or dropped frames. Gold-plated connectors and a wear-resistant TPE jacket protect the terminations during installation and long-term use. Directional connectors marked Source and Display must be oriented correctly for operation.

Directional install and backward compatibility

The cable is directional; the Source end plugs into the GPU or media player and the Display end into the monitor or projector. Reversing the ends will result in no signal. It remains backward compatible with DisplayPort 1.2 signals and lower resolutions such as 1080p and 1440p. No bundled software or adapters are included; the product is the cable itself.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 50ft fiber DisplayPort cable so the signal works?

Plug the connector marked Source into the graphics card and the one marked Display into the monitor; the fiber link is directional and will not carry video if reversed.

What part of this cable is most likely to need replacement after a few years of daily use?

The 24K gold-plated DisplayPort connectors can wear from repeated insertion cycles, while the TPE jacket and internal glass fibers are built for long-term in-wall durability.

What is the first limit I will hit when running 8K60 continuously through this 15m cable?

The 32.4Gbps bandwidth ceiling of the DisplayPort 1.4 link caps sustained 8K60 transmission; thermal or signal degradation in the hybrid fiber-copper assembly does not appear before that limit.
