Connection Standard

The Jansicotek TJ-A285BK is a DisplayPort 2.1 cable built for new PC and monitor links. It carries 80 Gbps bandwidth and supports HBR3, HDCP 2.2, DSC 1.2a and HDR. The 3.3 ft male-to-male cord uses solid copper conductors with triple shielding for interference resistance. It is backward compatible with DisplayPort 1.4 through 1.0.

Resolution and Refresh Headroom

The single spec that decides fit is the certified refresh-rate table: 16K at 30 Hz, 8K at 60 Hz or 120 Hz, 4K at 144 Hz, 165 Hz or 240 Hz, and 2K at 360 Hz. If your display and GPU target any of those modes, this cable has the headroom; if you need higher uncompressed rates, it will not suffice.

Build Integration

The buckle-free, groove-design connectors release easily in tight rear-I/O spaces. The 28 AWG tinned copper core and triple shielding keep the signal clean without adding bulk. It carries 7.1, 5.1 or 2.0 uncompressed audio alongside video. It does not suit buyers who need longer runs or angled plugs for confined routing.

Questions about this item

What does the 80 Gbps bandwidth actually deliver on a real system?

The 80 Gbps rating lets the cable carry 16K at 30 Hz, 8K at 120 Hz, 4K at 240 Hz or 2K at 360 Hz with HDR and DSC 1.2a compression when both source and display support those modes.

Which DisplayPort standard does the cable meet and what does that cap in practice?

It meets DisplayPort 2.1 with UHBR20 certification, capping usable throughput at 80 Gbps and enabling 16K@30 Hz, 8K@120 Hz and 4K@240 Hz over the 3.3 ft length.

What physical clearance do the connectors need to fit and stay seated?

The male-to-male plugs use a buckle-free groove design with 24K gold-plated contacts, so they slide into standard DisplayPort ports without a release latch and need only the port depth itself.
