USB-C Bi-Direction KVM Switch
This Jansicotek switch connects two USB-C sources to one display or one source to two displays, toggling between them. It suits laptop users who share a single monitor or need to alternate between dual screens without replugging cables.
10 Gbps bandwidth and 8K@30Hz video
The single specification that decides fit is the 10 Gbps USB 3.1 Gen 2 bandwidth combined with DisplayPort 1.4 video support up to 8K at 30 Hz. If your workflow demands higher refresh at 8K or simultaneous dual-display output, this unit will not meet that need.
Sustained 100 W power delivery under load
Under continuous operation the switch passes up to 100 W of USB Power Delivery 3.0 to the connected host while maintaining 10 Gbps data throughput and stable video at the selected resolution. Cable runs totalling no more than three metres are recommended to avoid signal degradation during extended sessions.

Questions about this item
What does the 8K@30Hz figure mean when I connect a monitor?
It is the maximum video resolution and refresh rate the switch can pass; the actual output depends on your source device, monitor and cable, and may be 4K@120Hz or 1080P@165Hz instead.
How does the USB 3.1 Gen 2 10Gbps bandwidth limit what I can do?
It caps data transfer at 10Gbps and carries DisplayPort 1.4 video; Thunderbolt devices will operate at this speed, not at full Thunderbolt bandwidth.
What cables and ports do I need to mount and use this switch?
You need a USB-C port with DP Alternate Mode on each device and standard USB-C Gen 2 cables; total cable length should not exceed 3 metres for stable 8K video.
