It lets owners of older DVD players, game consoles such as the Xbox 360, or similar sources connect directly to modern HDTVs, monitors or projectors. No software or drivers are required; the unit works immediately after power and cables are attached.

Resolution and Bandwidth Limits

The adapter accepts input resolutions up to 1920 x 1080P and cannot process 4K signals. Video bandwidth is rated at 165 MHz or 1.65 Gbps per channel, totalling 6.75 Gbps across all channels. Colour depth is limited to 8‑bit per channel, giving 24‑bit overall. Audio input is restricted to two‑channel LPCM; compressed surround formats such as DTS‑HD or Dolby TrueHD are not supported on the input side.

Build and Daily Use

A compact enclosure houses one 5‑RCA socket for component video and stereo audio plus one HDMI output socket. The package includes a 5 V DC power adapter and a user manual.
