The Jaspertronics MSD Platinum 5R is a 189 watt high-intensity discharge bulb designed as a direct replacement for the Clay Paky Sharpy moving head and a wide range of compatible 5R fixtures. It uses metal halide technology with a 1 mm arc gap to produce a concentrated beam for professional stage and event lighting.

Fixture Compatibility and Electrical Check

Confirm that your fixture is listed among the supported models such as Clay Paky Sharpy, American DJ Vizi Beam 5R, Elation Platinum Spot 5R or the Terbly PT series. Verify the unit accepts a single-ended lamp with a 57.1 mm overall length, 51.4 mm diameter and a 34.5 mm working distance, and that the power supply can deliver 150 to 189 watts.

Suited for 5R Moving Heads, Not for General Lighting

This lamp suits lighting technicians and rental houses maintaining 5R beam, spot or hybrid moving heads that require 7,950 initial lumens at 8,000 K with a 75 CRI and a rated 3,000 hour life.
