Replacement lamp for moving heads

The Philips 249888 is a 189 watt MSD Platinum 5R discharge lamp built for professional stage and touring fixtures. It delivers 7950 initial lumens at an 8000 K colour temperature with a CRI of 75. The compact 1 mm arc and universal burning position support tight beam angles and flexible mounting in compatible moving-head units.

Suits 5R beam and spot fixtures.

This lamp fits a wide range of 5R-class beam, spot and hybrid moving heads from brands such as Clay Paky, Elation, American DJ, PR Lighting and Terbly. It is not suitable for fixtures that require a different wattage, arc length or base type. Venues needing longer service intervals should note the 3000 hour rated life.

189 watt power rating decides fit

The 189 watt rating is the key specification that determines whether this lamp matches your fixture. Verify that your moving head specifies 189 W MSD Platinum 5R before purchase. Using a lamp of a different wattage can damage the ballast and degrade output.
