JBL AM7212/26 12" 2-way home audio speaker

High-power 2-way loudspeaker

The JBL AM7212/26 is a professional-grade 2-way full-range loudspeaker built for installed sound and portable PA applications. It combines a 300 mm low-frequency driver with a 38 mm exit compression driver to deliver high output in a manageable enclosure. The rotatable Progressive Transition waveguide allows vertical or horizontal orientation to suit different coverage needs. This speaker targets installers and rental companies needing consistent 120° x 60° dispersion.

Sustained output and thermal handling

The Differential Drive dual voice coil and dual magnetic gap design on the 2262H woofer improves heat dissipation during extended high-level operation. Rated at 600 W RMS and 2400 W PMPO, the system maintains performance over long sets without the compression typical of single-gap motors. High-slope passive networks minimise band overlap between the 12 in woofer and 75 mm voice-coil compression driver. The 95 dB sensitivity ensures efficient conversion of amplifier power into acoustic output.

Build quality and mounting flexibility

The enclosure measures 28 in high, 14.5 in wide and 18 in deep with an approximate weight of 51 lb, making it practical for both flown and ground-stacked deployments. The rotatable horn means a single model covers stage-lip, front-fill and main-array positions without purchasing separate horizontal and vertical variants. An 8 Ohm nominal impedance simplifies amplifier matching in multi-cabinet arrays. The black finish suits permanent installations where visual discretion is required.
